The Excursion

Well, the Kenna and Kate are on a road trip. In fact, this exciting (Kate might add supposedly) trip is driving  all the way from Maryland to California. The duo have gotten to see some pretty interesting and fun places, things, and people. Including things like going to the American Girl Place in Washington, D. C. But then, this is about  the excursion at Santa Rosa Lake State Park, not the AG place –oops… What I was trying to say is what they did at and how they got to the state park, which, mind you, has neither swings nor slides. But  anyhow, the two were driving in New Mexico today and Kate got bored. Uh oh! As Kenna can tell you, if Kate gets bored, it’s bad. Kate tried to amuse herself by taking some funny pics with the computer. But then she got bored with that. Then she thought about looking at the internet, on how to decorate the new house. But she had done that a lot. A LOT. Kenna can tell you. Instead of roaming Pinterest, Kate decided to look for a place to stop and take a walk. Kenna wasn’t so sure. After all, they still had to get to Albuquerque tonight. She finally consented, and started looking forward to walking, after all.

When they got to the park, they walked a couple loops on a pleasant, quiet road.

They had a  profitable talk about different issues at home and school.

Here are some snapshots Kenna took:

 A cactus plant.

Some wild berries.

 More talking.

This is where they actually were.

Then they climbed on one.

 Kate enjoys the view.

THE END

So that was the excursion to Santa Rosa Lake State Park. Enjoy your day!
